Gutters that keep up with the rain

A roof only works if the water it sheds actually leaves the house. Undersized or clogged gutters back up under the eaves, rot the fascia, and dump water against the foundation. In this climate that happens fast.

What we install

  • Seamless aluminum gutters, formed on site
  • 5-inch and 6-inch K-style, sized to the roof area
  • Oversized and extra downspouts under heavy tree cover
  • Gutter guards built to shed conifer needles, not just leaves
  • Fascia and drip-edge repair where water has already gotten in

Built for this climate

What matters here in Oregon

Standard 5-inch gutters and 2-by-3-inch downspouts are often undersized for a valley home under Douglas fir. When a heavy rain and a full roof combine, they overflow. We upsize to 6-inch gutters and 3-by-4-inch downspouts where the roof area and tree cover call for it.

Fir and cedar needles are the real problem here, not maple leaves. Most cheap guards let needles straight through or form a mat on top. We fit guard systems that are designed for needle debris, so you are not on a ladder every November.

If the fascia is already soft from years of overflow, we replace that board before hanging new gutter on it. Hanging new gutter on rotten fascia just hides the problem.

How it goes

The process, start to finish

  1. Measure and assess. Roof area, tree cover, current downspout locations, and any fascia damage.
  2. Spec. We recommend gutter size, downspout size and count, and whether guards make sense. Written quote.
  3. Remove and repair. Old gutters come down, fascia and drip edge are repaired as needed.
  4. Hang. Seamless gutter is formed on site, pitched to the downspouts, and secured with hidden hangers.
  5. Guards and test. Guards fitted, downspouts run to daylight or drains, and the system is checked in flow.

Common questions

Good to know

Seamless or sectional gutters?

Seamless. They are formed on site to the exact length of each run, so the only joints are at corners and outlets. Far fewer leak points than sectional gutter from a store.

Are gutter guards worth it here?

If you have conifers over the house, yes, but only guards designed for needles. Leaf-style screens and foam inserts clog with fir needles. We fit the ones that work for our debris.

Do you offer gutter cleaning?

Yes, as a standalone visit or paired with a moss treatment. Guards reduce how often you need it but do not eliminate it entirely.

My fascia is soft. Can you still hang gutters?

We replace the damaged fascia first. New gutter needs solid wood behind it, and the rot will only spread if it is covered up.
